Our stay was truly magical! Sanja was so kind and helpful. Her recommendations couldn't have been better. The apartment was perfect and quickly felt like home. Here is where you stop searching and you book right away!! If you want to leave Komiža completely happy, stay at Sanja’s! She made out of our stay a dream: the apartment was spotless, full of light, felt as we were the very first guests ever. Sanja also made sure to give us the best recommendations (yes, leave the lonely planet back home, Sanja knows best!) She puts her heart on every detail and is a loving generous person. We left the island ready to come back to her and her lovely apartment !!! Thank you so so much for everything Sanja! We hope to see you very soon with our soon to be born daughter! Wonderfully decorated studio apartment, positioned in the very center od Komiza city and within walking distance from beaches makes this apartment a prime choice. As far hosts are concerned, one should aks for no more, wonderfull and friendly, available for any advice or help you might need. All-in-all, no need to think twice before booking, all you can ask for you will find on this address!

Sanja was a dream host and her place was just as lovely as the pictures showed. My boyfriend and I greatly enjoyed Komiza, in large part because of Sanja's recommendations for places to eat and explore. Her pup was an adorable greeter every time we came home. I would definitely go back!!
We have the sensation of holiday vibes but feel at home, too. Best combination, big recommendation.

Staying with Sanja is an excellent experience. Really tasteful appartements in a beautiful stone house environment with a spot to cook, comfy beds and space to just hang and chill. A coffee at the scenic harbour is just a stone throw away and a swim in the see is walking distance. In addition Sanja always has an ear if you need something or advise on all things nature, culture or restaurants. This place is different and it gives us peace every single time we go there.
We have the sensation of holiday vibes but feel at home, too. Best combination, big recommendation.

Fantastic spot to stay in Komiža! Sanja met us at the bus stop & walked us the short walk to the apartment. It's very roomy & quiet and about 30 seconds to the waterfront, restaurants, shops etc. Sanja had some great recommendations for things to do (definitely go on the Ames boat trip to Biševo, and take a kayak around to some empty beaches) and even let us grill some fish in the courtyard!
Definitely recommend, we'd love to come back & stay again one day!

Our stay with Sanja was simply fantastic. She is a generous and thoughtful host, who took the time to make a few perfect recommendations for things to see and places to eat on Vis. The apartment is beautiful--looks just like the photos. It is airy and spacious, and very nicely decorated. The views are great, and it's very easy to get to.
I hope to come back soon, and I can't recommend this spot (and this host) enough!

Beautiful location and Sanja is a warm and welcoming hostess that made us feel at home. On a rainy day she even served delicious lemon muffins.
We will recommend the house with its beautiful three restored apartments and Sanja is great at explaining trips and walks in the area.

I stayed in the Palagruza apartment, but I have seen also other two apartments. They are all very nicely furnished - with style, very well maintained (everything in the apartment works!). This is a stone house, completely renovated. It is well located, 2 minutes from the riva, less than 5 min from the first, nice beach. The place is very quite, despite being so close to the riva and 'the main happening'. I had a great stay and will return.
I would recommend these apartments also to very demanding guest.

Dear Sanja,
We had no idea of the existence of the island Vis, until our son Thomas revealed it to us some years ago. The word Vis was planted like a seed in our minds and it germinated. Two years ago was our first visit to the island. We had NO idea what was waiting, we did not know Sanja nor her apartments. Now we are here for the second time and it feels like coming home. We love the fresh and friendly atmosphere in Sanja’s place. The slow energy of the island helps you to relax. The beauty of nature, the smell of the herbs, the freshness of the sea and the treasures to be found on the beaches… I love to make stone faces and flowers and even new creatures appeared out of our imaginations from the materials we find on the beaches.
This is the place to be and discover that less is more! But… I would say: “come and find out for yourself”

Komiža je sama po sebi divna, ali uz ovakav smještaj cjelokupan dojam postaje još bolji. Bili smo smješteni u apartmanu "Svetac" mada to nije bitno jer su sva tri apartmana divna. Uređenje je besprijekorno, sve je izuzetno čisto i očuvano, gospođa Sanja je pazila na svaki detalj tako da nam ničeg nije pofalilo (imali smo čak i šaroliku ponudu filmova i serija za pogledati ). Jako ljubazni vlasnici kojima se možete obratiti za pomoć ili savjet. Ono što je možda ipak najljepše od svega jest da smo se osjećali kao kod kuće. Svima toplo preporučujem da se smjeste u apartmane "Insulae".

Unsere Rundreise in Kroatien hat uns einige dunkle, kleine, mit alten unbequemen Möbeln eingerichtete Unterkünfte beschert - wie schön war es, in den hellen, hohen Räumen endlich wieder das Gefühl von Luft und Licht zu bekommen. Tout simplement magique. Un endroit splendide, hors du temps. Sanja est venue nous chercher directement à l'arrêt de bus, et nous a fait visiter les ruelles de Komiza. L'appartement est à 2 minutes à pied de l'arrêt de bus et 30 secondes du centre. Notre hôte a été très présente pour nous durant tout le séjour avec de nombreux conseils et recommandations pour des lieux et des excursions à faire. Habitant sur place, nous avons pu échanger le matin comme le soir avec elle, ce qui nous a permis de découvrir un peu plus la culture locale. L'appartement est quant à lui très joliment décoré, et très apaisant, avec une vue sur les petites ruelles. Très peu de touristes durant notre séjour, nous recommandons fortement cette ile et cette adresse si vous souhaitez vous déconnecter du quotidien. Mille merci à Sanja pour son accueil.

Vratili smo se s Visa prije nekoliko dana.. kod gospođe Sanje i njezine Su proveli smo jedan tjedan..svima koji još nisu bili na Visu odmah kažem - tjedan je premalo, a oni koji su bili znaju zašto to kažem...vratit ćemo se tamo sigurno...prekrasan otok,Komiža- pitoreskno,malo ribarsko mjesto, uske dalmatinske kale,drvene šaloporke,ljubazni ljudi...prekrasne uvale i priroda koja izaziva strahopoštovanje..Stiniva definitivno naš favorit..tamo jednostavno čujete tišinu..preslatki apartmani gospođe Sanje svojim uređenjem samo pojačavaju mediteranski ugođaj..gospođa Sanja nenametljiva, ali uvijek pri ruci kako bi pomogla i odgovorila na vasa pitanja...kad sve zbrojim i oduzmem..zaljubila sam se u Vis..topla preporuka svima, koji traže svoj komadić raja...

We spent one week in August in apartment at first floor. The apartment is stylish, clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Sanja is wonderful host and her recommendations help us a lot – we enjoyed excellent food at "Darko" and "Maxo" and great excursions around island of Vis and to island of Bisevo with "Ames". We will definitely try to come to Komiza again and enjoy Sanja’s hospitality.

We have returned from our honeymoon on Vis and first of all we want to say what a wonderful host and gorgeous apartment we had the luck to find! Sanja is great, our chats to her outside the apartments made us feel relaxed and at home, and she made some great recommendations. We enjoyed the only outdoor arts cinema in the adriatic, and we can't put into words our experience at Roki's! Komiza is very relaxed, with a nice harbourside cafe culture. Our apartment was the top floor apartment, with high beamed ceilings and great views to the sea and Mt Hum. Sanja greeted us with champagne and was an impeccable host at all times, despite our best efforts to lose Su! If you're thinking of a holiday on Vis then cross your fingers that Sanja can host you! Thank you for everything, we hope to be back - and maybe look at the volcanic islands!

Vratili smo se iz Komiže prije tjedan dana, a već stvaramo planove kako se ponovno vratitit. Komiža nas je osvojila na prvu svojim kalama , rivom, brodicama i ljudima. Moram priznati da smo zaista imali sreću što smo bili Sanjini gosti.Ulaskom u njen dvor zaboravili smo stres i nervozu i prepustili se pozitivnoj energiji i sreći koja izvire iz svakog kutka.Puno je razloga tomu; Sanjina nenametljiva gostoljubivost, predivni apartman Biševo, mace i draga Su. Hvala Sanja na divnom boravku i receptu za kolač od rogača. Nadam se da se vidimo uskoro!!

Sanja and the Apartment were both Fantastic!!!!!! If you are thinking of staying here- think no longer- book it! The apartment on the 3rd floor is beautifully decorated, spacious, light, breezy with high ceilings and a great feel. The views are incredible, and it is extremely clean and comfortable. Sanja provided us with lots of information about the island, was a thoughtful and gracious host, and really made us feel welcome and at home. She communicated well with us and was flexible- providing us with what we needed to enjoy our 5 day stay here. We loved Komiža so much. This is NOT Hvar- it is not a racous party destination. It is a quiet, old, fishing village that is small, beautiful, and simple with amazing views, great beaches, nice restaurants and a great starting point to explore the whole island of Vis. Come visit Vis and Komiža! Stay with Sanja at INSULAE- I'm confident that if small laid back island life is your thing that you will love it here.

Very comfy and clean, simple and stylish. Thanks Sanja for allowing us to use washing machine in her apartment. Her dog, Su, is a great PR who greet everyone and even waited outside our room and gave goodbye kisses to us. Su made us feel homecoming! We missed her. Sanja has a good taste of living. From her selection of tea bags, towels and home decor, all these showed her dedication to her apartments. So do I. We treated her apartment like our home. Staying at Sanja's apartment really add colors to our visit in Komiza. Definitely recommended for friends in Hong Kong. I will tell them Komiza is a charming place not Blue Cave. I love Adratic islands more than Greek islands.

Kada dođete u Komižu osjećate se kao da ste zakoračili iz svijeta buke, vreve i stresa u priču punu boja, mirisa i okusa. A kada dođete u Sanjine apartmane cijela bajka dobiva toplu notu boravka na mjestu gdje se osjećate opušteno i sretno. Čim kročite u Sanjin vrt pun zelenila uz kamenu kuću dočekat će vas vesela Su i mahanjem repa poželjeti dobrodošlicu. Ako imate sreće biti će tamo i najnježnija mama među komiškim macama koja će vas oboriti s nogu prekrasnim mačjim očima. I naravno, domaćica -divna, topla, draga, nenametljiva Sanja koja je uvijek tu ako nešto zatrebate i zna sva otočka mjesta, plaže, restorane, mirisne recepte i sve zanimljive priče vezane za otok i Komižu. Razgovori sa Sanjom brišu svu nervozu i stres i pune vas mirnoćom i pozitivnom energijom. Apartmani su slika tog malog raja- čisti, prozračni i divno uređeni. Nakon nekoliko dana poželjeli smo ostati zauvijek kod Sanje. Znamo da ćemo se opet vratiti i jedva čekamo ponovni susret. Sanja hvala od srca na svemu!

Im Herbst 2012 organisierte ich eine bewegte Ferienwoche in Komiza auf der Insel Vis. Wir genossen eine wunderbar sonnige, bewegte und vielseitige Woche mit täglichen Trainingseinheiten in Pilates und Nia unter freiem Himmel. Dazwischen wurde gebadet, gelesen, die blaue Grotte, mit ihrem magischen Licht besucht und individuell die Insel entdeckt. Ein Teil der Gruppe wohnte bei Sanja in ihren wunderbaren Apartments. Die Zimmer sind hell, geräumig, gemütlich und sauber. Der Innenhof bietet Platz zum Ausruhen, zum Essen oder einfach zum Plaudern und mit dem Hund Su zu spielen. Sanja ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin. Sie gibt gerne Auskunft, hilft weiter und ist sehr freundlich! Dank dem Erfolg und der wunderbaren Zusammenarbeit mit Sanja und den Einheimischen vor Ort wird das Ferienangebot im Herbst 2013 erneut angeboten. Ich freue mich jetzt schon darauf!

Waren bereits zum 2. Mal bei Sanja, die eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin ist! Die Zimmer sind neu eingerichtet, sauber und geräumig. Im Innenhof ist es angenehm schattig und einen Grillplatz gibt es auch. Dazu gibt es noch gratis W-LAN. Zu den Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist es nur ein kurzer Weg. Im Ganzen sehr empfehlenswert und wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen!

The place to stay in a town to visit on a must-see island. Insulae Apartments — almost literally home away from home for us — is highly recommended, especially for those who doesn't want to compromise comforts of city living. The wifi is working well, the furniture and appliances are new. Yet the building is cozy and historical, the little garden is shady, the views often magnificent. Sanja and Stanko are very helpful and genuinely friendly. Five thumbs up!

We stayed with Sanja for 2 weeks in July of 2011, and had a WONDERFUL time. Komiza is the best place from which to explore Vis Island, and Sanja's apartments are not only extremely well located, but also very comfortable for loner stays. For 2 people, they are PERFECT, and you will find everything you need to cook etc. The beds are very comfortable, and everything works. Check out the roasted chickens sold by a nice lady just a block up the street (you DO need to order one day in advance, and the lady does not speak English, but it all works out We think almost daily of our month vacation in beautiful Croatia--Kozima and Sanja's apts helped make our 2011 summer memorable.

We stumbled upon this apartment while walking around Komiza, and were very glad we did! We stayed in the third floor apartment. It was very nicely set up, with great views and lots of space. We had a wonderful time there and actually ended up extending our stay! Sanja was very helpful, and a great host. She went out of her way to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. We'd definitely go back if we were in the area!

Kdo bi si mislil, da sta otok Vis in njegova Komiža lahko tako čudovita tudi pozimi. In če je tukaj še Sanja, najboljša gostiteljica na otoku, potem je bivanje še prijetnejše. Posebej priporočam obisk v času praznika sv. Nikole (Miklavža), ko Komiža slavi svoj najpomembnejši dan s številnimi sijajnimi prireditvami. In ne pozabiti, da so decembra limone in mandarine v Komiži najbolj dišeče!

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful stay at Sanja's place in late September! We stayed at the topmost apartment with its view over Komiza's rooftops and of the shimmering sea. Sanja skillfully furnished the beautiful, airy apartments,so we felt very much at home. Its just perfect!I need to especially mention the extremely comfortable mattresses... Sanja gave us so many tips for exploring the beauty of the island, told us about customs and gave us recipes that we almost felt like locals.She is the soul of the place and her cheerfulness made our stay so very special! We had a wonderful stay at Insulae apartments in September, the loft apartment (Palagruza)was perfect for us bright, spacious, spotlessly clean with new kitchenette, bathroom and fantastic views of rooftops of Komiza on one side and mountains behind. The location is also perfefct with supermarket, bakery, restaurants,and beautiful beach all within a stones throw. Sanja was an excellent host and very helpful recommending restaurants, walks or any info you need on Komiza. She also very kindly offered us a glass of her fathers home made local aperetif before we went out for dinner in the evenings. Su the gorgeous labrador is also very welcoming and friendly! We had a really memorable holiday in Komiza, swimming in crystal clear water, relaxing on beach and eating the freshest fish and seafood in local restaurants. Can't wait to go back!! Pravkar sva se vrnila s počitnic, ki sva jih preživela v idiličnem okolju z zares čudovitimi ljudmi. Sanja in Stanko sta najboljša gostitelja, ki sva jih do sedaj imela. Če vam pristnost in prisrčnost kaj pomenita je izbira apartmaja pri Sanji definitivno zadetek v polno. Midva se bova vsekakor še vrnila.

We spent 10 blissful days in Sanja's and Stanko's house in Komiza last summer and enjoyed every bit of it. The apartment we rented was spacious, full of light, tastefully furnished and impeccably clean. Sanja is an effortlessly great host–thanks to her we discovered some beautiful beaches, learned some interesting stories about the island, tasted delicious local food and had long chats through the night. And that has made all the difference. Daydreams of returning to Komiza next summer keeps us warm through the cold and gray Budapest winter.
